Volkswagen Slovakia's Material Testing Laboratory
The Material Testing Laboratory at the Volkswagen Slovakia plant in Bratislava offers its services to customers from the automotive industry, as well as outside the industry. It is also open for external customers as an independent laboratory certified by the Slovak national accreditation service (SNAS) according to the international standard EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. The offered accredited tests include determination of the amount of condensable substances (according to PV 3015) and color fastness (according to DIN EN 20105-A02, DIN EN 20105-A03), as well as light resistance (according to PV 1303), odor test (according to PV 3900) and flammability (according to TL 1010) for materials such as plastic, rubber, textile, leather and leatherette.
From the wide range of services, customers can also order non-accredited material tests, for which they will receive sound advice and consultations from long-term professionals in individual fields. These include other tests of product properties such as climatic tests, corrosion tests, abrasion resistance, microscopy, tensile and bending tests, hardness tests, including the preparation of various types of samples.
