With the new models, the Piovan MDW gravimetric blenders range is extended from 50 to 1.800 kg/h. For maximum flexibility of usage, the dosing units are available in various configurations, with a variable number of stations (with 2 up to 8) equipped with pneumatic slide gates or screws. The stations can be added at subsequent times, in line with the production requirements.

The MDW blenders assure absolute precision, repeatability, simple utilisation in all application fields: they can be combined with injection and blow moulding machines as well as extrusion lines.

The powerful and quick control system guarantees an accuracy of ± 0.3%. Dosing percentages of 0.5% with the slide gate device.
> Perfect mixing of the components.
The new mixer with semi-spheric shape and the particular design of the shaft thoroughly mix the entire mass of granules, without preferential flows nor material stagnation.
> Immediate dialogue unit-operator.
The control ensures a user-friendly and immediate usage, without necessity to look at the guide. The main operative parameters are displayed in a single screen.
> Especially suited for applications with machines with repeated vibrations
The fast scanning software and quick adjustment of the blender’s functioning contribute to the blender’s immunity from the vibrations of the processing machine
> Control of the latest generation
The MDW Blenders are equipped with a powerful microprocessor control, with high execution speed and available in the simplified version and in the more advanced one with an 8.5” touch screen panel. A single screen with user-friendly graphics allows the operator to keep under control the unit’s functioning status, to compare the set percentages with the real dosing values, to check the instantaneous production etc. The standard version including the Ethernet port and of the USB interface allow the communication with other systems and data exportation for remote assistance.

The fast scanning software and quick adjustment of the blender’s functioning contribute to the blender’s immunity from the vibrations of the processing machine, and make it especially suited for applications with machines with repeated vibrations.
