New and Innovative Copolyesters for Medical Applications
The three Copolyester-families SKYPET®, SKYGREEN® and ECOZEN®
The SKYPET® (modified PET), SKYGREEN® (PETG, PCTG) and ECOZEN® (Bio-Copolyester) product families offer excellent chemical resistance, high transparency and very good mechanical properties, are free of bisphenol A (BPA) and are also easy to process.
All three product families have been successfully tested against chemicals and disinfectants common in this market (such as hydrogen peroxide, povidone-iodine or Clorox).

SKYGREEN® offers excellent transparency (light transmission up to 90%, ASTM D1003), while ECOZEN® grades which are containing a certain degree of bio-based monomers, inherently meet flammability class UL94 V2 (depending on the grade down to a wall thickness of 0.8 mm).
As you can see from the table below, the products meet many of the regulations required for the market, such as USP VI, ISO 10993 or ISO 11607.

Possible areas of application include devices for blood treatment, dialysis and ventilation devices, as well as medical housings.
The portfolio enables processing methods like injection molding through film extrusion to extrusion blow molding or injection (stretch) blow molding.
