K. D. Feddersen introduces the new materials ASCEND HiDura™ ThermaPlus and POKETONE™
Ascend Performance Materials has developed a new range of unreinforced PA 6.6 that is designed to increase long-term thermal stability to 150 °C and even higher temperatures. This is achieved without compromising the material's ductility, processability or mechanical strength.

The material exhibits remarkable flowability, allowing it to be processed under conditions similar to standard injection moulding of PA 6.6 and producing parts with properties that rival those of PA 4.6. Because of its processing characteristics, it can serve as a direct, trouble-free replacement for PA 4.6 without requiring mould modifications. The material also has a slightly lower density, resulting in a weight savings of about 3 %.
HiDura™ ThermaPlus is ideal for applications like protective housings for high-temperature sensors, cable ties, fasteners and in high temperature hose clamps for the automotive industry.
