Ampacet PFAS-Free Polymer Processing Aid Masterbatches help you comply with new Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation
PFAS-free Packaging: New EU Regulation and Safe Alternatives
Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been identified as potential health hazards. In response, the newly adopted Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) was published in the European Official Journal on January 22, 2025, setting an official deadline of August 12, 2026, for restricting PFAS in food packaging. As regulatory restrictions on PFAS continue to expand, it is crucial to adopt PFAS-free alternatives that comply with global food contact regulations.
Ampacet’s PFAS-free PPA additives offer the same benefits as fluorinated PPAs, including the elimination of melt fracture, reduced die build-up for minimized downtime, and improved throughput. Additionally, they do not interfere with surface treatments such as printing and lamination and have no impact on sealing performance.
Contact Ampacet to explore PFAS-free solutions that have already been tested and proven by leading players in the plastics industry.
