Synventive Exhibits Plug’n Play® Systems and Announces the SVG+, the new standard for every Valve Gate Application, at the K-Show in Düsseldorf
Synventive, a business of Barnes Group Inc, will exhibits at K-Show 2016 in hall 1,booth C05. The company will feature its innovative modular hot runner technologies with a key focus on delivering a stable process allowing for perfect part quality in challenging molding applications.
On display will be the robust Plug’n Play® hot runner systems with threaded nozzles for various shot weights. Customized and delivered fully pre-assembled they offer zero leakage, uniform temperature profile, energy efficiency and easy servicing.
A new feature of these systems are the patent pending the modular actuators for Plug’n Play valve gate systems. Special features of these actuators are the easy-access pin adjustment without removing the top plate, quick pin decoupling and automatic bleed. All actuators are equipped with a pin position sensor for setting up various control functionalities.

To meet the steadily growing requirements for surface quality, dimensional tolerance, complexity and reproducibility of plastic parts, Synventive offers the activeGate® control technologies. activeGate® products employ sensors to provide independent melt flow control at each individual gate. They differ by the way of actuation and amount of control: This includes SynFlow®, a hydraulic two-speed-opening control for eliminating surface defects at cascade molding; individual pin position control for hydraulic (hGate®), pneumatic (nuGate®) or electric (eGate®) actuated valve gate systems providing precise set up and monitoring of the pin’s position, speed, acceleration and stroke. Complete melt pressure control at each gate is achieved with DynamicFeed®.
The use of activeGate gives molders and product designers the possibility to mold parts of the highest aesthetic and performance quality. The benefits are significant and include higher quality surface finish, design of complex geometries, higher production rates, less scrap, faster mold start-ups and the opportunity to implement new molding concepts.

For the first time Synventive, the leader in sequential valve gating applications, presents the SVG+ hot runner systems. SVG+ features numerous design enhancements offering superior performance and efficiency for sequential molding of large parts. These hydraulic actuated systems are equipped with the new modular actuators and the patent pending SynCool3 technology. SynCool3 provides indirect cooling of the actuators via proprietary
thermal conductors making contact with cooled top clamp plate. This eliminates the use of cooling plates, of direct cooled actuators, and the elaborate installation of cooling lines for most applications. For easy set up of sequential valve gated applications these systems are delivered with a Valve Monitoring Interface (VMI) for monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting from outside the molding machine. VMI provides measured individual pin movement data and opening times and allows operators to check that the valve pins are moving as intended. For even more control, the SVG+ actuators are equipped with sensors, that facilitate an easy upgrade to an activeGate control technology.

With these new product launches Synventive is poised to meet the future demands in the molding industry. The modular approach provides efficient options to upgrade hot runner systems with additional technologies to realize the growing quality requirements of plastic parts.
