Eurex Energy s.r.o. is a Slovak company with more than 15 years of experience in research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences. Eurex Energy, Ltd. has made use of foreign knowledge and experience in the production of the new EUREX ECO 01 technology for the recovery of mixed waste plastics in the form of chemical recycling.

We have brought to the market a patented Slovak technology for chemical recycling of problematic (difficult to recycle) waste plastics. The technology itself processes plastic waste into raw material, thus saving fossil resources.

We are addressing the ecological burden, focusing on maximum environmental protection, carbon footprint reduction and disposal of plastic waste through chemical recycling.

Our primary goal is to reduce the carbon footprint and increase recycling rates in the EU.

EUREX ECO 1.

The EUREX ECO 1 plant and technology for the treatment of mixed plastic materials from municipal and industrial waste is a continuous, air-free thermal treatment of polymer waste, where the main product is a continuously sampled mixture of gaseous fission products, which are then condensed and distilled to produce liquid hydrocarbons, which can be used as diesel and petrol fractions.

It is therefore a chemical recycling of plastic waste, which results in a liquid mixture of hydrocarbons that can be used as feedstock for the petrochemical industry or as a substitute for liquid fuels obtained from the processing of crude oil. It is not a process of incineration of plastic waste to obtain energy.

The process of thermal treatment of plastic waste is a continuous process that requires the periodic addition of plastic material and the removal of decomposition products (heavy fraction) without shutting down and cooling down the reactor.

The EUREX ECO 1 plant is designed to ensure temperature stability and homogeneity of superheating of the treated plastic waste throughout the reactor volume and thus homogeneity of the output products, which can be used in the petrochemical industry as chemicals or as secondary fuels.
