Polykemi AB has celebrated its 45 years anniversary

We are expanding and investing for the future!

"We are in a period of expansion just now and not the least our growth and further expansion in China will bring new and exciting opportunities," informed CEO Mr. Hugoson.

After being given a tour in the Polykemi factory in Ystad, the 130 guests were served a lunch buffet and during the afternoon a seminar with a selection of interesting lectures was given.

CEO Mr. Ola Hugoson did not deny that 2012 was a rather tough year. "But now gladly we have seen a trend of stable improvements during the spring, and many projects are on their way and as a whole the future looks bright!"

MD of Polykemi China Mr. Magnus Lindahl was proud to inform that early 2014, the space and capacity of the factory in China will be doubled. "The expanded factory space will be used for a future increase of capacity - one example the installation of new foiling machinery," informed Mr. Lindahl. "Through our factory in China we can offer our customers in Asia the same high quality materials as Polykemi and Scanfill AB - our subsidiary working with environmentally friendly packaging materials in Sweden are doing," underlined Mr. Lindahl.

Today Polykemi´s fully owned subsidiary in China has five extruding lines and a production capacity of 4.000-5.000 ton per year. The fully achievable goal is to reach 20.000 ton within a few years.

Furthermore investments are also expected at Polykemi AB in Ystad as well as at Rondo Plast AB. "The subsidiary working with recycled plastic materials Rondo is also currently on a good roll - and is about to really take off," stated vice president Mr. Lars Hugosson, who added that today Rondo is producing at least 15.000 ton per year.
