LUGER GmbH - Strong company benefits from years of experience
Luger GmbH company is an Austrian family company and is engaged in more than 45 years sales, design and servicing of machines and peripheral equipment for the plastics industry. More about our company approached its director, Ing. Thomas Luger.
1. Luger Company has a wide portfolio of products for the plastic industry. What makes you special or different from other companies?
Luger develops all the projects in house. The engineering is done by Luger employees. From the first step to the installation and after sales service the costumer has one contact person. We have over 40 years relationship with our main suppliers like Netstal injection molding machines, Motan material handling systems or HB Therm temperature controllers.
2. For how long have you been on the market? How was the beginning of the company?
My father, Mr. Luger Senior founded the Luger company in the year 1967. Before that, Mr. Luger was working in different departements for Netstal Injection Molding Machines in Switzerland. In the year 1967, he got the opportunity to start his own business in Austria to become a Sales and Service Representative for Netstal injection molding machines.
In the following years, he extended the sales portfolio by adding other companies like Motan material handling systems, HB-Therm temperature controllers and Tria grinder. In the 70ies, the Luger business was the first company in Austria, which could offer customers a complete package for machine and peripheral equipment. The first employee started working for Luger in 1971.
In 1975 Mr. Luger started also sales and service activities in the plastic industry in the former “Czechoslovakia” and Hungary. The Luger business constantly stayed focused on sales and service.
The projects are developed and designed in their own technical department in Austria.
After political changes in the 90ies, company Luger decided to found a firm in Prague named Luger spol. s.r.o. and also another one in Hungary called Luger KFT, in order to be closer to the customers. I controlled these two business activities. These two companies represent now an essential part for the Luger group.
I took over the management duties and responsibilities from my father In 2001. At present, over 50 employees are working in the Luger group. The scope was and still is to fulfill and exceed the customer needs and demands in the plastic industry.
