Kuroda Electric Czech s.r.o. supplies the most durable injection screws on the market
Injection screws made of KH material represent the future of the plastics industry. Due to the ever-accelerating rate of expansion of materials with high percentages of additives such as glass fibers or flame retardants, the demands on the resistance of the screws and cylinders themselves are also increasing
More and more molding plants are facing problems with reduced screw life when processing engineering plastics and high-tech polymers.
What is KH material?
KH is a unique material created by Kohan Kogyo, produced using powder metallurgy technology. It is a cermet material composed of a hard phase that consists of ceramic particles of iron polyboride mass and a binder phase that consists of a metal equivalent to stainless steel.
Perfect solution
Due to their high hardness, injection screws made of KH material are characterized by high resistance to wear, chemical damage and corrosion. Compared to nitrided screws, KH achieves up to twenty times higher resistance and is thus an ideal solution to problems associated with rapid wear and premature replacement of screws.
