Greiner Packaging names Manfred Stanek as new CEO
Germany-based packaging group Greiner Packaging has announced that Manfred Stanek will takeover the role of CEO, replacing Willi Eibner who will in future act as a consultant for the company, from 1 July.
Axel Kühner, CEO of Greiner Holding said: “In Manfred Stanek we have gained an internationally experienced top manager for the Greiner Packaging division. Drawing on his extensive experience gained as a management consultant and industrial manager and many years spent working abroad, he will make a key contribution to Greiner Packaging’s strategic and operative development.”
Stanek, who was born in Austria and who has lived and worked in Brazil and the US in the past 13 years said: “After more than a decade abroad I am delighted to return to Austria and to the challenges awaiting me at Greiner.”

Stanek was most recently a member of the management board of Atlanta, US-based Novelis, which specialises in rolled aluminium products and in aluminium recycling, particularly for the packaging industry.
Greiner Packaging saw sales of €561m in 2015. The company currently employs 4,000 people at 32 locations in 18 countries around the globe.
