FLEXflow One: The Servo Driven Valve Gate System Without Control Unit
FLEXflow One is the electric servo driven valve gate system where control unit is not required. For every hot runner nozzle, through a multi-steps setting, needle stroke, position and velocity can be fixed.
The electrical drives of the valve pins precisely control the melt flow and thus allow the injection molding of parts of high reproducible quality. These values can be individually set for every nozzle of the hot runner system.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
The settings are saved in a Driver Module, assembled on the hot runner system ready for series production. Should the settings need to be changed, this can be done with an easy to use device, named ESI (External Smart Interface), which is then connected briefly to the Driver Module.
The connection with the injection molding machine, which provides the hot runner system with the signal (24 V) for the open\close needle, is identical to conventional hydraulically or pneumatically operated needle valve nozzles. In comparison, the process window with FLEXflow One is much larger.
Without the need for oil and water, FLEXflow One also provides a cleaner working environment and is thus also suitable for use in clean-room conditions.
