Exhibitors news at the Fakuma fair with photogallery

The annual Fair Fakuma, which took place from 17 to 21 October 2017 in Friedrichshafen, represented 1889 exhibitors from 38 countries. In the second part of the paper, we will introduce news from leading manufacturers of injection molding machines and raw materials in the plastics industry.

The KraussMaffei Group promoted the implementation of the Industry 4.0 platform in the Plastics Processing Industry under the title Plastics 4.0 at the Fakuma2017. Within Industry 4.0, the company focuses on intelligent machines linked to manufacturing processes and interactive services and increase productivity with DataXplorer.

Under the motto “be smart”, WITTMANN BATTENFELD presented to interested trade visitors top-level injection molding technology in hall B1, booth 1204 at this year’s Fakuma in Friedrichshafen.

The highlight: EcoPower Xpress 400, an all-electric high-speed injection molding machine

At the Fakuma, WITTMANN BATTENFELD  demonstrated the functionality of this machine model on an EcoPower Xpress 400/3300+.

Arburg was presented "smart" machines, processes and turnkey solutions for efficient plastics processing in Hall A3, Stand 3101, at the Fakuma 2017. After Arburg heralded the future of injection moulding at the K 2016 with the world premiere of the large hybrid Allrounder 1120 H, the next step was followed: at the Fakuma 2017, a hybrid Allrounder 920 H was presented for the first time with a new design and new Gestica control system.

Fast, precise, energy efficient and available at an attractive price. With this range of characteristics, ENGEL AUSTRIA’s all-electric injection moulding machines from the e-mac series have become very well established, especially in the teletronics and technical moulding industries. For Fakuma 2017, ENGEL was expanding the series on the upper end with a 2,800 kN version.

Special chemicals company LANXESS was primarily focus on the sustainable in-vehicle applications of its thermoplastics during it was appearance at the Fakuma trade fair.

VELOX GmbH, a leading pan-European distributor of raw material specialities for the plastics industry, was presenting an innovative product range at FAKUMA (booth 5001 in Hall B5). In addition to its partner products, VELOX was also introducing PrimeTec®, the company’s own brand for highly specialised solutions for the plastics industry.

At its exhibition stand this year, the global manufacturer of technical thermoplastic compounds, Polykemi AB, based in Ystad, Sweden, was focusing on blends, high-performance plastics PPA GF and high-tech polypropylene for lightweight construction as well as highlighting increasingly important environmental concerns with their products REPRO and REZYcom compounds.

Customers  and premium quality customized technical plastics – are what the GRAFE Group stands for. For more than 25 years, the plastics specialist GRAFE has been manufacturing products for the domestic and international markets. The company was presenting its product portfolio, including the latest additions and highlights, to an international audience at the FAKUMA.
